John Patton Burgess (born 5 June 1948) is a John N. Woodhull Professor of Philosophy at Princeton University. He received his Ph.D. from UC Berkeley's Group in Logic and Methodology of Science. His interests include logic, philosophy of mathematics and metaethics. He is the author of numerous articles on mathematical and philosophical logic and philosophy of mathematics and (with Gideon Rosen) of ''A Subject With No Object''.
